"Having been a heavy smoker for 40yrs + I decided to give hypnotherapy a go in the hope it might help me give up.. never having had this kind of therapy before I was a bit sceptical but willing to try anything! Lillian put me at ease straight away .. with a simple diagram of how the brain works & a simple explanation of how it deals with stress & negative thinking, I was already getting an understanding of how, with a different mind set, it may well be possible to stop my horrible & unhealthy habit! The hypnotherapy itself was very relaxing,( helped by the fact Lillian has the most comfy sofa EVER).. It was basically the same as doing a guided meditation, Lillian has a very soothing voice & her technique was easy to follow..Anyway getting to the point.. did it help me give up smoking? "Having never done hypnotherapy before, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Lilian immediately put me at ease, explaining in depth the science behind how our brain works and the impact of this on our thoughts and behaviours. Lilian is clearly very knowledgable in her field and provides a warm, inviting and tranquil space to open up. The hypnotherapy itself was incredibly calming and although one of my biggest issues is struggling with being able to relax and rest, I was really surprised that I had no issues or restlessness and was completely at ease during the session. Lilian really helped me to understand my anxieties and gave me a positive toolkit of strategies to use.
